TRANSPORTATION


Liberec (Reichenberch in German) is a statutory town in northern Bohemia. It has over 100 000 inhabitants and it is fifth largest city in the Czech Republic. Liberec is located in a valley between Ještědský hřbet and Jizera Mountains. It lies close to the Czech border with Germany and Poland.

Liberec offers various tourist attractions. The city boasts of numerous important buildings, such as the City Hall, F.X. Šalda Theatre, Museum of Northern Bohemia, Ještěd Viewing Tower, the oldest ZOO in the Czech Republic, the recently modernised Botanical gardens, Babylon Leisure Centre and other cultural and historical sights. Liberec is also ideal place for walks or hiking tours in its environs or in the Jizera Mountains.

BY PLANE


From Prague (Václav Havel Airport Prague) to Liberec:

    Tickets (from airport to bus station Cerný most) = 32 CZK, available at the public transport counters arrival halls of terminals 1 & 2 (from 7 am to 10 pm); automats placed at bus stops (cash required) or from a bus driver (cash required).
